Bryan and I couldn't wait to find out the gender of our twins, and to make it a little more exciting I wanted to include our family in the surprise. So we had the sonographer write the genders on a piece of paper and put it in a sealed envelope without us seeing. Then we took the envelope to McCarthurs and ordered a two layer 8 inch cake with instructions to make each layer's color match the gender of the baby... either pink or blue. Knowing that two blue were an option, I have to admit I was utterly SHOCKED when I cut the cake and revealed a total smurf cake! Not that I had any premonition whatsoever, I just didn't expect two boys I guess! We are sooo excited and Bryan is so very happy to be having not only one son, but TWO! The most important thing was that the ultrasound went very well and the boys are looking as healthy as can be! Now I am busy deciding on nursery decor... and am having so much fun!
