Tuesday I managed to start the week with what I will consider a "pregnancy moment".... I'm sure Bryan would argue on this one, though! So I was caring for my Grandmother, who I have been taking care of for almost 3 years now and have never had this problem before, and I was getting dressed for work. I had my pretty blue scrubs on and when I went to look for my shoes.... nothing. I had flip flops and heels, which would have looked great with my pink panther scrub top, but no work shoes. I couldn't believe it! So to get out of my little shoe dilemma I did what I always do... I called Bryan, my hero, and he was nice enough to meet me with my work shoes after I dropped my Grandma off at "the club". He even brought Louie with him for the ride, which totally made my day! AND we had breakfast together... so needless to say I was a little behind by the time I got to work that day!
So by Yesterday I thought I was over my forgettful issues for the week... but then I had a terrible "blonde moment". I was meeting my friend Kristin at the Galleria becuase I just had to check out the sale at White House Black Market. I still had on my scrubbs from work, so after I parked I stepped out of my car to take off my dorky white nursing jacket. It was kinda a tight squeeze between my car and the one next to it since the cars park so close to each other in the Galleria parking lot, so my door wouldn't open all of the way... This is when it happened! I locked my door as I was getting out and left my purse/keys/phone...everything! on the front seat. As I was standing next to my semi-open door and taking off my jacket, the door slowly started to swing close (I'm talking slow motion here) and I was tied up in my jacket and couldn't stop it. Maybe being pregnant slows down reflexes or something, but I managed to lock myself out of my car while watching the door shut 6 inches in front of me. I felt like a real winner! I had to flag down the security jeep driving around and he couldn't help me, so then I had to ask a complete stranger for his cell phone and then I couldn't remember anyone's number! Whoever invented speed dial anywyas! Finally I managed to get ahold of Kristin and she found me next to my car...where I was looking at my open sun roof and the dark, cloudy sky rolling in. Just in time the big red Terry's Towing truck showed up to save they day! Becuase my car has a "no break-in" safety deal, he couldn't unlock the doors with the conventional wire hangar method and had to put this huge stick in through my sun roof, dig around in my purse and pull the keys out through the sun roof (without scratching the paint!!!)... and literally the second I got the doors unlocked, it started to sprinkle. $60 later I felt pretty lucky and realized that I need to stop these memory issues, they keep getting more and more serious!

Kim,
OMG... that sounds horrible but also like something that I would totally do AND I have no excuse. I am glad that everything worked out. Love your blog!
