This weekend created another funny "blonde" story to share about myself, but this one also includes my friend, Kim!
Yesterday we were in downtown Saint Louis on Washington Ave. celebrating our friend Elisha's bachelorette party. Downtown is full of one way streets, it was raining to make things worse and it was very crowded because there was a Cardinals game and conventions, etc. So after driving around the block a few times we finally found a free meter, but it was on a one way street and on the left hand side of the road. You wouldn't think this would be a problem to parallel park, but let me tell you... it's so hard! When you are used to parallel parking on the right side of the road, the whole mirror and turn trick goes out the window when you are parking on the left side. It's backwards and opposite and confusing. In other words I failed miserably at this parking thing and after an embarrassing 5 minutes or so (while Jaime was outside in the rain helping to direct my parking) my friend Kim offered to try! I was so relieved.... until it remained impossible. With two tires on the sidewalk and about 10 minutes later we finally called it quits.
So the joke became, "how many Kim's does it take to park a car?" And since we are both blonde, it became our "Kim Blonde Moment of the Night". We have shared quite a few of these moments before, but this one was just too funny!
None the less, we had a great time at Kitchen K and down on the Laclede's Landing. It was interesting and extremely entertaining being the only sober person on the entire landing! I think it was the first night I managed to stay up past 11:30 pm since we got pregnant!!!
