Bryan was away for 6 whole days....and believe it or not, us girls survived!!!
Bryan left Sunday evening for a ski trip with the guys.
Bryan left Sunday evening for a ski trip with the guys. He has been looking forward to this for months and I am so glad he got to go.
RJ, Clint, Houston, Brad, Aaron, Derrick, Deeder, Dave, Adam, Mike, Bryan Jr and Big Bryan.... what a crew!
Bryan leaving was a huge change for Emmerson and I. Normally Bryan gets Emme ready in the mornings and gets her to the babysitter (Emme has the luxury of sleeping in every day- we never wake her up in the mornings). However, this week I needed to get to work earlier than normal in the mornings and Emmerson was a trooper as always. She was up and ready to get next door to Grandma's every day at 6:30 and she did it with a smile on her face!
Bryan being gone made me realize how much of a help he is, but it also made me realize I can do it, too. I was so nervous to not have him around because he is such a big support with Emmerson, but it really boosted my confidence when I did fine on my own. And interestingly enough, my house stayed much cleaner and straightened up when he wasn't around. My 2 theories are that I had more time to clean since I wasn't hanging out with him and my other theory is that he is really messy.... we will see what he says about those. hahaha.
Ironically enough we got our first big snow while he was away and I was snowed in from work on Thursday. My awesome mother in law helped me out and watched Emme while I took the opportunity to work from home... which was nice, but I get way more accomplished at work.
Emmerson and I are eagerly awaiting Bryan's arrival home tomorrow.... the guys have a long drive ahead of them.
