Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Bash

My 'baby' turned 2 in a big way last weekend! She celebrated her birthday with all of our family and friends at her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Bash!
I have to admit that I may have gone overboard with the party... but I had so much fun planning it and it was all worth it once I saw how much fun Emmerson and all of the other kids were having. Emme's party entertained 26 children for almost 3 hours and was a huge hit!
The kids kept busy with a princess bouncehouse, sidewalk chalk, a train that they could ride on, a coloring table, tons of balloons to pop and kick around as well as a pinata and a cupcake decorating station. For all you moms out there, I discovered the trick to a successful birthday party- have TONS of candy! As much as I despise the sugary crap, it makes kids happy and when the kids are happy, so are the parents:) Emme ate more candy at her birthday party than she has in her entire life! She had a blast!
The adults had a good time, too thanks to all of the food (and the keg). The menu consisted of Mickey Mouse shaped chicken nuggets, hot dogs and chili so people could make chili dogs, and Mickey shaped macaroni and cheese (had to order the pasta from Disney). We also had a cupcake bar and my mom made fruity pebble marshmallow treats in the shape of Mickey Mouse which were my favorite treat at the party! Besides all of the food and activities, Emme's favorite things were the Mickey and Minnie balloons which were 5 feet tall. She still has them and pulls then around the house so they don't get left out of anything and she gives them hugs of course. I even caught her pretending to feed them. It's just hilarious because they are so huge!
Emmerson loved her birthday party and is still talking about it. Thanks to everyone who helped make the day so special for her!
