Another big first was Emmerson's first time going to the Muny, which she calls the "Moony". We thoroughly enjoyed the Little Mermaid as well as our dinner at the Boathouse. Emme did fairly well during the show- she was just loud, almost like she just happened to forget how to whisper. If you can imagine the amount of questions a 2 year old may have during an outdoor theater show, now just imagine her asking those questions loud enough for everyone to hear. Thank goodness the people around us went out of their way to say how cute she was and how they were enjoying her as much as the show! Leave it to Emme to steal the show- at one point during on of Ariel's solos she even starting cheering for her saying, "Go Ariel Go! Go Ariel Go!". She gets that from all those Cardinals games:) The best part was her recap of the show on our drive home. She couldn't stop talking about the princess, and Prince Eric and the dresses, etc. I love having a girly girl!

A Week of Firsts
On our first holiday weekend staying home from the lake, our family celebrated a couple big "firsts"! Bryan's big first came early Monday morning on Macklind Avenue in South City. It was his first race! We had a blast running the 1 mile downhill race towards a street full of festivities! Bryan ran the whole way and clocked 9:30 while I clocked 6:46. I was very proud of Bryan and loved my quick time! The party at the end of the race was tons of fun... a band, bars and a Big River Running store right across the street:) Bryan said he wants to do it again next year!
