It's safe to say Emmerson's personality has reached its peak as she approaches her three year milestone. This girl is full of jokes, quirks and sass! Every day she shocks me with what comes out of her little mouth. The other night she tried negotiating with me by saying that if I gave her 'hot honey milk' (aka honey almond milk) that she would go to bed and stay in bed all night long. She totally got the negotiating thing from me- guilty mom for negotiating with her, but when I give her two options and she has to pick one, I usually win:)
Anyways, she has also been pushing limits... to the extreme! One limit push was just after Christmas when she was coloring with a pen and instead of sticking to the paper, scribbled all over her new American Girl "Emme" doll. I was so upset and she knew it was wrong, but it's all about finding out what she can get away with! Emme has also been known to put her dolls in time out... I have found it very amusing to watch her discipline her dolls the same way I discipline her.
Emmerson has also developed some imaginary friends, Susie and Tina. She LOVES to tell crazy stories about these girls and I am having such a good time watching her creativity grow! I try so hard to foster this creative spark in her, but at times I can't help but just laugh at what she comes up with!
Emmerson is truly a blessing and delight. She is not only Bryan and I's main source of entertainment, she is our pride and our love... she can also be our headache. She is our everything and we have loved the journey throughout her "two's" and can't wait to get started on the "three's"; this is going to be a big year for our big girl!
