32 Week Ultrasound

It's amazing to me looking back at my blog posts when I was pregnant with Emmerson and how I updated almost weekly on how the pregnancy was progressing... I guess it's true the second (and third) aren't "the same". It makes me laugh because just the other day I was considering just how far I wanted to take the baby book/ scrapbook thing for them... but in trying to keep things equal. I am going to try my hardest to have scrapbooks for these boys just like I do for Emme!

So the "update" is just a lot of great news. We are truly blessed with how things are progressing. The boys remain concordant and received a perfect evaluation during their ultrasound. Baby A measured in at 4 pounds 4 oz and Baby B 4 pounds 6 oz. They are growing at the same rate as a singleton, where commonly twins growth slows down around 30 weeks. So they are around the 50th percentile and doing great! I love this b/c one reason I think Emme was such a good baby with no sleeping/eating issues was because she was over 9 pounds, mature, and ready to be here. Granted, these boys will not be that big, but with the average twins being under 6 pounds, our odds are looking good for some hearty/healthy boys! They are also both headdown which is great b/c I hope to avoid a cesearian at all costs. And as usual, we didn't get a good 3D image of their faces becuase they are always moving and hide behind each other.

I checked out well too! The doctor said I need to keep up the light duty/balance act because it's working. This was music to my ears and I left the appointment feeling quite elated. We know we will not be going past 39 weeks (per our doctor's preference) so the countdown is offically "less than 7 weeks!" WooHoo!
