My days on maternity leave are filled with hours of tending to my little sweetheart. She is such an easy baby (so far), but I still can't help but find myself holding her, snuggling her, and staring at her for hours... especially when she is sleeping and I should be using that time to do things like homework! She is so entertaining when she is awake, forget doing anything but paying 100% attention to her and only her. She loves to be carried around the house room to room because she finds the ceilings, lights, and fans absolutely fascinating...even though looking at them gives her some serious cross-eyes. She really doesn't like to be left alone in a room and I have found she can sleep anywhere... her boppy, cradle, and her Daddy's arms are her favorite. She makes the cutest little squeaks while she sleeps and has been caught snoring and farting in her sleep, too. Emme June is definately her father's daughter. And amazingly enough she seems completely immune to noise! She sleeps right through the dogs barking, phones ringing, people talking... and, yes, she did pass her hearing test in the hospital. It has been so much fun getting to know her and see her little personality start to develop. She isn't even 2 weeks old yet and she has changed so much already.
Below is a picture of her sleeping on her boppy like a good little princess, while I do homework. I love the other picture because her big ol' belly is sticking out. She got some really cute valentine's day t-shirts from my friend Allison and they have a lot of trouble staying down over her tummy....
