Just another week at the Browne house...

Emmerson has been a resilient baby in overcoming her cold. Bryan ended up having to take her to the pediatrician on Tuesday and she has a minor ear infection in her left ear. They prescribed Amoxacillin... which I hate giving her because up until now she has had zero artificial flavorings, dyes and additives in her purely breastmilk diet. At least she feels better! Other than her 2 hour screaming fit on Monday night, you wouldn't even know she's been sick. She is in her jungle swing in the picture below, which she now LOVES... (thanks, Sarah for letting us borrow it!)
Besides Emme bear's cold, the week has been pretty nice. I started back to work; Monday was difficult because I left for work before she even woke up and she went to bed only 30 minutes after I got home for the evening, but Tuesday and Friday went much better. It helps knowing she is in good hands. Between her Grandmothers and our friend, Amber... she is in amazing care at all times! I think that makes it much easier being away during the day.

A little excitement happened on Wednesday night... Bryan and I went out for the evening while Emme stayed with Grandma Browne. We went to Blueberry Hill in the U. City Loop for dinner and to see Stoney Larue, one of Bryan's favorite "red dirt" bands! Or as my Aunt Ann would say... "red neck", ha ha. Dinner was good, they have buffalo fries which I had never heard of and really enjoyed. The music was pretty good, too. My friend Kristin met us there and we had quite a group going downstairs in the Duck Room where the concert was. The 2 opening acts took FOREVER, so by the time Stoney played we had to head home to get our baby girl from her baby sitter. Bryan was a little disappointed, but I was exhausted and ready to go. We didn't get home until 1am, that is like SO late now a days! ha ha.

Kristin and I pose for a pic at Blueberry Hill... like the glasses? I'm so not a fan, I thought I got rid of those 10 years ago!

Your glasses are too cute- sounds like your first week back to work wasn't too bad! Glad to hear Emme is feeling better.
