A Gorgeous Weekend in November

_______________
SATURDAY
_______________The day started with Bryan making oats for breakfast. Then while Bryan and I cleaned, we let Emme play with her food.... and she had a great time making a mess with the ew and gew of oatmeal. She was very careful at first, trying to pick it up with her fingers, but it didn't take her long to get brave and start smearing and flinging. It kept her happy and occupied for over a half an hour! We got so much cleaning done!Needless to say she took a nice long bath after breakfast. Then we headed into the park in Ste. Genevieve so Bryan could play football with some friends. Emme enjoyed some milk and cheddar ducky bites before we read book after book after book.... she LOVES to read. She also love to rip out paper pages so all of her books have thick pages and she loves to point to things on them. Her favorite book is shaped like a pink purse, it's so cute.
Emme loves to stand on her head... I tried getting a picture of it, this was the best I could do.
The swing was her favorite thing to do at the park.... she giggled and squealed the entire time!
I just couldn't get her to smile, I thought her colorful outfit with the background would turn out so pretty.
Uncle Aaron taking a break from playing football.
We took a nice long walk around the park... very pretty even with the leaves all off the trees. It was the most beautiful day November has ever seen. 70 degree weather with a gorgeous blue sky and a nice breeze. It was so great to enjoy being outside with my family!

After playing at the park for a few hours while Bryan wore himself out playing football, we took a drive to enjoy the pretty day while Emmerson took a nap in her carseat. We ended up at our friend's house visiting Donnie and Candice and baby Aiden. Emme and Aiden had a blast sharing toys and playing. They got along really well!
After playing at Grandma's for a few hours, Emme attended her first bonfire! The old clubhouse at Ste. Genevieve's golf course was an old barn and my brother and RJ were hired to tear it down. They salvaged most of the barnwood (apparently old barnwood is valuable) and they lit the rest on fire. It was a pretty big fire and it's always fun watching something burn. Whitney and Emmerson had so much fun walking around and playing on the golf cart...

SUNDAY
_____________

The day started bright and early for Tanker and I. We met my friend, EJ, and her dog, Chief, at Tower Grove Park for a 10k run, "Sweat for Pets". Tanker and Chief had a blast and the weather was perfect for a Sunday run and even better, it was for a good cause.

Emme sporting her cool hat at Grandma's Sunday dinner...

Which didn't stay on her head very long.

Grandpa getting ready to go in for the kill....

TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE!!!

Emmerson practicing her scales... which consist of a lot of banging right now, but she loved the piano. It was really cute when she started to dance while she was playing!

It was an amazing weekend with no schoolwork and tons of family time.... the best weekend I have had in a long time!!!
