The title is supposed to mimic the school's out for summer song... just in case you didn't get it:)
As of last Friday I am officially finished with my clinical hours this semester and all of my major projects, papers, videos, etc. I have 2 measly finals left the second week in December! I feel like it's over.... but I know I am getting a little ahead of myself. I am just so excited to have a social life back. I have tons of catching up to do with family and friends after 3 crazy months of juggling like a million things.
So to start the weekend of right, Bryan and I enjoyed a few drinks at the Drunken Fish on the Landing prior to the arrival of my BFF, Kristin and her boyfriend, Brian! We enjoyed great sushi and great conversation for hours. This was Bryan's first time meeting Kristin's new man and only my second, so it was so nice to get to know him a little better. And even better, we really like him. I am soooo happy for Kristin because these two are so great together and so happy. What more could you want for such a dear friend?!?!
Interesting thought from the night: Kristin and Brian saw the movie 2012 and brought away the question, "If you could bring two people with you (other than family) on a boat that would survive the end of the world, who would those two people be?"... some people answer this right away, others have to think about it.
Saturday morning called for a wonderful opportunity to sleep in since Emmerson stayed the night at her Grandma's house. Late morning her and I headed over to my mom's for a girl's day... we scrapbooked and enjoyed a great salad for lunch and played with Emme. She loved it, but did spend most of the day sleeping. She has another little cold, which we think it just teething again. Bryan spent the day at Donnie's helping him get ready for him and Candice's party. Bryan requested a change in plans last minute Saturday, so instead of going to Soulard for "bar golf" with some friends celebrating Jed's 30th birthday, we opted for Candice and Donnie's bonfire party... which was a lot of fun. We got to see Trey and Anne which we don't get to spend near enough time with.
Sunday was nice and lazy, we went out to an early lunch and hung out around the house for awhile and took Emmerson for a golf cart ride. Bryan left mid afternoon for the Ram's game, then Emme and I headed to mom's for our Sunday night dinner. After getting in a good 6 mile run in preparation for my race on Thanksgiving morning, we enjoyed some spaghetti, italian salad and bread dipped in infused olive oil. YUMMO!
Great weekend with great quality time with family and friends.... I am soooo looking forward to Thanksgiving. I'm only working 2 days this week and have no homework!!!! Life is good.
