Red Birds, EJ and Momma Day

Last weekend Emme, Bryan and I enjoyed a perfect day at the ballpark.... the weather was amazing, the tickets were free, the 3 of us were together and THE CARDINALS WON!!! We even tailgated in the back of Bryan's truck before the game. Emme was such a good fan- she's a natural. She clapped when everyone else did and every time the music came on, she did a little dance. Besides her good looks, her t-shirt got her plenty of attention... it said, "I'm too cute to be a cub's fan!". I wish I got a better picture of her in it. She may have to be an outfit repeater at the Memorial Day game the end of this month:)
Emme sharing her food with her Daddy... she LOVES to feed other people. It's so cute, but not so good for the waistline!
Chillin in the back of the truck... Emme was ALL OVER the place. She had to explore every inch of space from little silver screws to every single person sitting around us. We were lucky to have an open seat next to us for her to sit in like a "big girl" and the people sitting around us loved Emme so they encouraged her to visit with them.
It was such a good experience for all 3 of us.

Exhausted after only 7 innings... But Emme took it like a champ!
A true Cardinals fan just like her Daddy!

This past weekend I celebrated EJ's 24th birthday with some of her friends from school. They were really nice girls and we had quite an adventurous night starting with dinner at Mosaic on Washington and then the Pepper Lounge on Locust. The girls got all dolled up and really helped make EJs bday special. All of the excitement helped keep my mind off of the memorial service I was to attend the following morning....
Saturday came quickly and the service for Courtney was beautiful. The rest of the day Bryan, Emme and I worked in the yard and started landscaping (finally). All we accomplished was re-rocking underneath our deck, but our deck is huge, so it really was a lot of work. We decided to spend the evening focusing on playing with Emme:)
Sunday rolled around before we knew it and I enjoyed a very relaxing mother's day... Breakfast at Ponie Express (amazing pancakes by the way) and then to my mom's for a few hours in the middle of the day. I always enjoy being around my family, especially when Whitney surprises me with over a dozen chocolate covered strawberries! I'm proud to say that 2 days later I still have some in the fridge... I'm really learning self control when it comes to sweets:) Emmerson and I enjoyed a 4 miler in the afternoon and the 3 of us chilled the rest of the night. It was a great, low key weekend and I loved every second of it. Especially since I am officially finished with my advanced pharmacology course and have the entire summer off of school!!! Summer, here I come!
