Emme and I have been busy this past week enjoying our time together. We went out everyday and had all sorts of fun going to Red Lobster with Bryan for lunch, going to the mall with Grandma Browne, going to Hobby Lobby and Target and hanging out with Kristin at Starbucks. Not only does getting out make me feel like a normal person again, but Emmerson seems to enjoy the stimulation. She loves car rides and loves to look around at new places. And apparently people love to look at her.... it's amazing how so many strangers want to get a peak at her. I have discovered that people LOVE fresh babies!
Last night we went to Bryan's Uncle Kendall and Aunt Kim's 30th Anniversary party at the Lemp Grand Room in South City. It was such a nice event, pretty much a wedding reception! I enjoyed a couple glasses of red wine and Princess Emme was spoiled by all sorts of family members. It was so nice outside that Emme actually got to hang out outside on the deck attached to the hall... without 5 layers of clothes on! Emmerson looked super cute in her polka-dotted cotton dress. It was the first time she has worn a dress out in public and she was quite the little lady. I think we have a girly girl on our hands!
Emmerson is now 5 weeks old and developing so quickly. It's amazing how fast these little tykes grow! She is 12 and 1/2 pounds, can hold her head up, push her body weight up with her legs, and she has started to smile for real and not just from gas! She has discovered her voice and is constantly making squeaking and growling noises... I call her my little gremlin.
Her onsie says... "If you think I'm cool, you should see my dad". Bryan loves it!
