The last two weekends have been packed full of busy fun, which is probably one reason why I now have a really bad cold and have been battling a fever all day...
This past weekend I ran in the St. Patrick's Day 5 miler downtown while Bryan and Emme hung out at home. It was my first time and definitely something I plan on doing every year. I just hope the weather is better next year so Bryan and Emmerson can come! That same afternoon we all 3 headed up to Emme's cousin, Isaac, 1st birthday party which was held at Sk8 World in Saint Charles. We had a good time and Emmerson even tried skating. She preferred to just wonder around, so skating only last a few minutes.
Sunday we enjoyed the day with Bryan's family that lives in Dallas, Texas. Sue, Jerry and Cassidy are always so much fun and I wish we could see them more often. Cassidy just loves Emmerson and it is very entertaining to watch them play together (wish I would have gotten a good picture of the two of them). Emmerson kept wanting to go outside so we spent a lot of the day running around in the driveway.
It looks like we have an outdoors girl on our hands!!!
The first weekend in March, Bryan played Mr. Mom (he is so good) and took care of Emme all weekend while I enjoyed my bi-annual scrapbook getaway with my Mom and a couple of co-workers. We were at beautiful Lake Carlyle in Illinois Friday-Sunday and I almost completed Emmerson's babybook. I have one month left to scrapbook! I'm very excited about this. I have so much fun scrapbooking our favorite memories... I hope one day Emmerson enjoys all of my hard work!
