We had an interesting drive down on Friday, Emme decided to dislike car rides all of a sudden and was very fussy for the last 2 hours of the trip. I ended up having to crawl in the backseat with Tanker and Louie to sit by her and try to keep her binky in her mouth. It was a tight squeeze! She was pleasant on the way home and didn't make a peap, so who knows what her problem was.
Friday evening we went to dinner at JJ Twigs with Paula and Bryan, then we headed out to grab some groceries and went back to the house to lay back and relax. Saturday, I got up nice and early and enjoyed a 4 mile run before hitting the dock for some sunshine. I was sure to go down to the dock early and alone, because no one wants to see my pale, sun deprived body that sun literally reflects off of I'm so white! I got through a few magazines and took a little nap and headed up to the house for lunch. Bryan grilled burgers and a veggie burger for me.. yum! I just love grilling outside :) Then that afternoon we went over to my parents boat at the Ozark Yacht Club and hung out for awhile. Then we all treated ourselves to some REAL ice cream on the strip. I got mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone and it was so yummy. It's been awhile since I had real ice cream and not soy cream! That night after we put Emme to sleep we were going to meet up with some of Bryan's cousins at Shady Gators, but got there and like a couple smart kids, did not have any cash for the cover. It was late, so we gave up and just went home. It was super crowded anyways and we were being lazy. I was bummed that no one got to see me in my cute outfit, but oh well.
Sunday started out a lot like Saturday for me... I took a nice run and beat my time from the day before! Then my Mom, Paula and I hit the outlet mall! I got Bryan some of his favorite shorts and a Polo and I got a Polo dress... LOVE THEM! And 3 outfits from J. Crew which I was in desperate need of. My Mom got the best deal at the Coach outlet.. she bought the bag I wanted last season, but couldn't afford so I am way jealous and hoping she gets tired of it soon! ha ha. That night Bryan and I made a big dinner for all of our parents and we enjoyed some beer and wine. Mom and I had some amazing Ahi Tuna steaks and everyone else had ribeyes. Emme was having a blast getting tons of attention and showed off by rolling over, and over, and over again. After this weekend, she has that trick down! Jill came over and visited for a little while, which was nice, but the rest of the evening was low key. We tried watching a DVD, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but the dvd player wouldn't work and it actually turned into a big fiasco, so we gave up.
Monday was an early start to rainy weather... after a few hours of being up with Emme while everyone else slept, I was ready to head back home. So off we went back to reality! It was nice getting home early from a weekend away because I got all of the laundry done already!
