Mother's Day was a double celebration because it was my very first Mommy's Day and because Emmerson got Baptized! Her ceremony and party definitely stole the show for the day...
She was Baptized at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Bloomsdale, where I went to grade school, by Father Maes... who is a new priest that my family just loves. She did well during Mass, but when it came time for her Baptism, she was not a happy little girl. Sunday was a cool day and for some reason the heater in church kept wanting to kick on... so it was very hot. And baby Emme does not tolerate heat well, so she cried and cried during her little ceremony until I finally took off her beautiful Baptism gown (which is the same one I wore 25 years ago!). So we had a naked baby in church and it made her nice and happy! Most babies don't like the water being poured over their head, but she loved it because it cooled her off some more!
Emme is a lucky girl because she gets 2 Godfathers!!!
Cry baby is HOT!
Her cupcake cake was yum yum.

She was so hot when we left church, we left her naked and covered her with her second white dress. She had one for the ceremony and one for her party :)
Uncle Bob kept Emmerson entertained at the celebration we had at my parents house after her baptism. She had cooled off by then and was a peach the rest of the day.
Grandpa Browne, Great Grandma Browne and Mary ooing and ahhing over the little angle.
I hope all of you mom's out there had a very special day,
