As another semester rolls around I am once again apologizing ahead of time for my absence in your life. I guess I should follow suite and apologize to myself for everything I am about to undertake and put myself through. This fall will be my first go at Nurse Practitioner Clinicals, which will be in the "Fast Track" in SLU Hospital's ED... It's like an Urgent Care. I will also be taking 2 courses: Advanced Health Assessment and Instructional Strategies while trying to balance my new job and trying to find time to do what is most important, spending time with Bryan and Emmerson. I really hope I can manage to fit in the training I need to do for the half marathon I'm running in September, even though this is obviously not a priority. It would be nice to prove to myself I can still run a half. I don't mind all the busy-ness; I have come to realize that it's just part of my personality and I need it. I get bored if I don't have 500 things to do in one day!
December 10, 2009 is my next date of freedom. I know this semester will be full of useful knowledge to apply to my future practice, but I can't help but find myself already counting down!
