Steph's Visit

Last Wednesday I got great news via a simple phone call from my best friend, Stephanie, who sadly resides way too far away in sunny California... she spur of the moment decided to come into St. Louis to visit family (which includes me too). I was so excited! First on our agenda was the Cardinal's game on Friday night. I felt like an underage outlaw because I accidentally left my ID in the car, so getting a beer was like an underage game of "who will serve me without asking for an ID"... the answer at Busch Stadium is NO ONE! Steph's mom ended up supplying the alcohol. haha. It was a great night for a ball game and Albert's walk off home run topped it off.
Saturday Bryan and I took Emme to get her 7 month pics.... which turned out ok. Not her best, but how can Emmerson possibly take a bad pic, right? We just hung out as a family all day and headed up the street to our friends' Justin and Amber's for a bon fire. It was nice and chill and Emme got to break in her Carhart overalls that her uncles got her last Christmas (no, she wasn't even born yet and they got her size 12 months.... silly boys).

Sunday I managed to squeeze in a solid 10 mile run (that left me feeling exhilerated even today) before heading up to Wildwood with Emmerson to hang with Steph and her parents. I love spending time with Steph's family... her and her mom are quite entertaining and her dad reminds me so much of my dad. Emme was the star of the show and took a little nap so we could enjoy some deck time with the nice cool weather and a small glass of champagne. I was so sad to leave because I miss my dear friend and the weekend flew by so fast. You know what they say, "time flies when you are having fun"! I guess I couldn't imagine life any other way.

Stephanie, Emmerson and me just hanging out!
