A little this and a little that.

With school in full swing, demands at work constantly increasing, and clinical hours racking up, I have very little time to keep up with Emme's baby album, yet alone this blog. This post is random and full of what's been going on this month so far. Emmerson is constantly working towards reaching that next milestone.... right now it's walking. She has mastered walking while holding onto something whether it is the couch, end table or someone's fingers. Now she is moving into the exciting world of "letting go" of things, which usually means she plops right down on her rump. She is getting stronger at standing on her own. When she has her tennis shoes on, she can stand and balance herself for at least 10-15 seconds..... Here come the days of bumps and bruises and lots of falling down!

Emme loves making Indian (sorry for the lack of political correctness) noises... she seems to do it more when she is tired or cranky... I think she finds the noises comforting.

Friday night we enjoyed some family time together. We went to Shoguns for dinner and headed home for some chill time together. Saturday I headed to SLU Hospital nice and early to get some clinical hours in the ER before I had to meet Bryan to pick up Emme so he could go to the Cardinal's playoff game. He had a blast and Emme and I had a fun girl's night. We ransacked The Purple Cow, my favorite name brand resale shop for little kids, and walked away with tons of amazing deals.... super cute clothes and smiles on both of our faces. Then we enjoyed a nice dinner with EJ at The Elephant Bar in Des Peres. Then headed home to play. We both went to bed early..... it was so nice.

Emme was not into wearing her unicorn hat... so she decided to chew on it:) I guess she has been watching Louie and Tanker and learned from them?

Sunday morning was a chilly one, but I managed to squeeze in a pretty good run. There is always an adjustment phase with running when the weather changes. Hopefully either I am adjusted, or the weather gets a little warmer before my 10k next Sunday. Bryan left for the Ram's game as soon as I got home from running and Emme and I spent another girl's day together playing dress up, cleaning, and perfecting the wave and clap. Her wave is getting better every day.... I'm hoping I can get her to high-five soon! We are working on it:)
