The longest 4 days of my life....

Last Thursday my baby and my hubby left for a family reunion in Arkansas which was the hardest thing I have had to deal with in quite awhile. That may sound silly, like it was no big deal, but saying good bye to your baby who you won't be seeing for 3 and 1/2 more days is devastating.... I cried all the way to work. And just to keep myself busy, I did not get home from work until 9pm. Friday was full of work, too.....
Emmerson and Bryan were enjoying themselves down in Arkansas, though. They drove down in Bryan's parents new motor home and spent the extended weekend visiting lots of relatives and eating lots of food. Bryan enjoyed a daily motorcycle ride with his family and Emmerson enjoyed a lot of attention.
I got away on Saturday to enjoy a weekend in Okawville, Illinois with my mom and two co-workers. We stayed at a 140 year old spa which was kinda cool, but kinda creapy and spent the entire time scrapbooking our brainsout at an event called "Croptoberfest". There were about 25 ladies there and we had a great time being creative and enjoying the company of nice people who enjoy the same dorky hobby. My mom got very into the scrapbooking and has a wishlist a mile long of things she just "has to have".... Christmas ideas are churning in my head!
The drive home on Sunday took forever as I anticipated the reunion with my family. It was so great to see Bryan and Emmerson.... they both were so happy to see me. Emme greeted me with a huge smile and did not want to leave my side the rest of the evening. We enjoyed a nice family dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant and Bryan and I enjoyed getting to bed nice and early because somehow weekends away tend to be way more exhausting then they are relaxing. It was nice to take a break from school and work, but now I have that much more to catch up on... is it December yet????
