We got home just in time for Emme and I to head into Sainte Genevieve for Stacy's baby shower. I just love Stacy's family and we had such a good time visiting.... and her nieces were so good with Emmerson. They were lined up ready to take her off my hands and play with her. And the oldest babysits.... yay! I haven't left Emme with a "young" babysitter yet, but I have 2 for when the time is right! Or I should say, when the Grandma's don't jump at the chance to watch her first. Stacy got so many amazing gifts, just about everything she could possibly need to welcome her darling little girl into this world. I had to laugh because everything was PINK.... I mean EVERYTHING!10.24.2009
Study Break
Today started with my 3rd race of the year, a 5k in the Chesterfield Valley. It makes me laugh that my races get shorter and shorter... oh well, I am all signed up for the Go! half in April and I am highly considering the Frostbite series in Forest Park this winter.... anyone interested in joining me? After the race I came home and showered, then Emmerson, Bryan and I headed to Lowe's to get some things we needed for the house. All the old men walking the aisles at Lowe's got a kick out of Emme; there is something about the old and the really young that is just too cute when they interact. Then we made a quick stop by CWP and I enjoyed a yummy veggie pizza (I like to splurge on something after I run a race:)

The fun stopped with the baby shower for me. Emmerson went to play with her grandma and Bryan headed out to a Halloween party/Beerfest competition at Clint and Kenzie's house. He decided to be "Coach" again... this costume always cracks me up, especially the short, tight shorts and the insanely unattractive facial hair!
That left me home all alone so I can do some serious studying for an exam I have coming up this Wednesday. I feel like I just haven't gotten to put 110% into the last 5 weeks of school, so I weighed my pros and cons and decided I needed to sit the party out and hit the books. With that being said and this blog posting taking up my study break.... I'm going back to study the cranial nerves!
