Since life has been crazy busy around the Browne house, I thought a quick update would be nice for my blog followers. I have tons of Emme pictures to post, which I will get to as soon as I can. Right now I am at work, where I have unfortunately been since 5:30am and will stay at until 7pm tonight... so I thought I deserved a little blog break:) Which also means I can't post pictures right now. I have some videos to post, too!
The big news right now is that our precious baby is sick. She spent most of last week with a runny nose (clear drainage for now) and has developed a little cough. She hasn't been acting sick until last night around midnight.... she screamed her little head off for hours and hours last night. So my wonderful husband is staying home to take care of her and get her to the doctor this morning. I have a feeling she has an ear infection. Emmerson is so lucky to have a daddy who takes such good care of her, not all daddy's feel comfortable staying home and taking care of their sick kiddos all day!
Now a little blurb about our weekend....
Saturday was another Daddy daughter day for Bryan and Emmerson, I studied all morning at Breadco while they were off to Trey's parents house. Early afternoon we all reconnected at home and headed up to the Sheldon Concert Hall for a wedding. My friend Jennifer from work got married and looked gorgeous! We had a good time even though we didn't know that many people. The food was delicious, but we didn't get to try the cake. Emme started to get really fussy so we had to leave early:(
Sunday was an early morning for me. Kristin and I headed up to the city nice and early, while it was still dark out, for the 1st annual Go! St. Louis Halloween 10k... which is 6.2 miles. We wore all black and had cute little sequined face masks. Some people went all out dressing up which is always fun to see, but I have no idea how they ran a race wearing that stuff! We finished running just under 10 minute miles, which is almost a whole minute faster than our mile pace for the half marathon! We were excited. We have so much fun running together because we always have a million things to talk about and are in love with getting a runner's high. There's nothing like it:) After the race we treated ourselves to a Jilly's cupcake, which are in my opinion, the best cupcakes in St. Louis. I had one of their seasonal cupcakes which was apple cinnamon cake stuffed with brown sugar and cinnamon something and iced with butter cream and cinnamon sprinkles and then topped with a mini cake donut seasoned with crispy apple cinnamon flakes! YUMMY!
I was sure to bring a plain chocolate cupcake home to Bryan and we spent the rest of the day hanging out around the house with my family. Bryan spend a few hours outside cutting wood for our fireplace which I can't wait for him to light up! For dinner we went to my mom and dad's and enjoyed some good family time with them and Steve.
You know how the rest of the night went from there..... we definitely didn't spend it sleeping much!
