Christmas Day

Christmas Day started off just as busy as the day before... Emmerson's grandparents were all waiting in our living room by the tree, which was surrounded by her gifts from Santa Clause, when she woke up Friday morning. She must have been a good girl because Santa brought her all sorts of fun toys, like a tent with tunnels, blocks, a t-ball set, more books, and a super cool truck to push around. She doesn't know quite what to think of the tunnels yet, but she loves her tent. She is such a little explorer, we knew she would have fun with it.
After our morning at home and a little time spent playing with toys from Santa, we headed up to Saint Louis to spend some time with the Browne's. It was an extra special year because we were all there... Bryan's family in Texas only makes it every other year on Christmas. Cassidy and Emmerson are the two youngest in the family and are so in love with each other. Everywhere that Emmerson went, Cassidy went as well!

Mid-afternoon we headed to Des Peres to my Grandma's house. Emme had fun playing with the door (she has a fascination with opening and closing doors over and over again). She took a nice long nap while I spent some time hanging out with my cousins, Christina and Samantha. They played us some Christmas music on their new violins. Instead of doing gifts for each other this year, we did charities. My family adopted a needy family and my Aunt and Uncle made dinner and served the homeless down in Soulard on Christmas. It was a wonderful Christmas and I really enjoyed helping others.... I hope it becomes new tradition!
