Lately our weekends have been so busy and I hate how that effects our "family time"... so this weekend, Bryan, Emmerson and I were inseparable. Friday night Emme and I cheered Bryan on at part of his gym hockey game, but we had to leave early because someone got tired:)
Saturday started with me treating myself to a facial... my skin has been haywire since I stopped nursing last month (I have strong feelings of dislike against hormones) so my friend Elisha has me on quite the regimine. I have high hopes I will have a pretty face again soon. The rest of the day was pretty laid back until we headed to Saint Charles to play Demolition Ball for Clint's birthday. Emme was running around the entire time, so I did not play, but Bryan had a great time! For those of you who have never heard of such a sport, it is very interesting... there are 2 teams that drive around in bumber cars and carry lacrosse like rackets that are used to throw and catch a wiffle ball. There are basketball backboards without nets and points are awarded when the ball hits the backboard... it's a funny game to watch, especially when everyone gets so into it.
Sunday was so much fun because it was just the 3 of us all day... being lazy, playing, eating, napping, you name it. I did manage to get in a 9 miler which was amazing because it was a gorgeous, sunny, 50 degree day! It left me with quite the runner's high. Steve came over for a chili dinner (I make awesome chili) and it was nice to visit with him before he headed home to work on some more homework.
Emme has been a little pig all weekend and is eating everything in sight. I think she is going through a growing spurt because if she isn't eating, she's sleeping. I would be ok with her staying so small for awhile... she is growing up so fast and getting so big!!!
