Week 35

In just five short weeks from today we should be expecting the little princess to arive! It is so exciting to think that Bryan and I made this little girl that is going to bring us so much joy. It is such a blessing. I can't wait to see who she looks like and play dress up with all of her adorable clothes. I guess I am officially over the scared and worried phase and onto the "I'm so excited, I wish she would just come now" phase!
According to babycenter.com babies at 35 weeks are on average over 5 pounds and around the size of a honeydew melon. Last time Emmerson was measured she was heavier than average so I am thinking she is easily over that 5 lb. average.
Today at work I felt like she was going to fall out... not kidding! Working at the bedside as a nurse is exhausting and at about the 8th hour of my 12 hour shift I felt like I had to hold my belly up or she would just pop out. I'm sort of wondering if I'm feeling Braxton Hicks contractions because my belly gets really tight and full of pressure and is sore by the end of my shift.... hmmm. She has started to "drop" already, too. My belly is no longer holding up my boobs! ha ha.
At least I am off work tomorrow. I have myself scheduled so I work every other day and it is soooo nice to have that day off in between. Not only does it give me a rest from work, but it allows me to have some fun!!! Yesterday I had lunch and did some shopping with my BFF Kristin. We ate at this little coffee shop/cafe by WashU called Kayak's Coffee. My hummus was delicious and then we shared some s'mores that you literally make at your table. They deliver little sticks and a fire and everything! Tomorrow I am spending the day with my other BFF Stephanie! She is in from California and I am sooo excited to see her.
So being back at the bedside is great. Work is more physically stressful, but only working 3 days a week has already been so amazing because I get to spend time with the people I love most around the most special time of year.
