Godspell

Last night Mom, Grandma and I went to the Muny in our normal Wednesday fashion. Grandma hasn't been to a show this season yet, so it was so nice to have her with us. She has had season tickets for over 35 years and Mom and I have been going about 13 years.... it's tradition to go with Grandma since for so many years it was just the 3 of us and Grandpa. Things haven't been the same these last 3 seasons since he got sick and wasn't able to go, but I think us girls are doing a pretty descent job at keep the tradition alive! The performance was obviously very low budget, which is rare for the Muny, but you almost didn't notice it because the performance kept you so engaged the entire time. The setting was a playground and they used it quite creatively to interpret the bible stories in the book of Matthew. There were a lot of funny parts and it was more modern than I remember it being the last time I saw it. The music was wonderul... I was singing "Day by Day" the entire ride home.
