Steve's Welcome Home Party
Steve and the Matts...
Apparently these two are buddies after their "road trip" back to MO!
My "lil sis", Katelin, finally got to meet Emmerson...
Steve loves Whit!

My brothers and I, finally all together again...
Emme and Grandpa Hilbert
Proud Uncle GregLast weekend, we celebrated Steve's permanent return to Missouri. We grilled out at my parent's house on the back patio with family and friends and had a great time. Emme was the star of the show at first, but everyone remembered to keep Steve at the center of attention as well... We are all so ecstatic that he is home. It's weird getting used to having another brother around, but fun! Family started leaving early in the evening as our friends starting strolling in. The weather was unusually chilly as the evening went on, but Steve and about 15 of his, Greg's and my friends sat bundled up in hoodies and blankets around the fire pit and had a blast. Steve enjoyed his DOC (drink of choice) of whiskey a little too much. There is just something about whiskey that is #1 gross and #2, gives you a kind of crazy level of inebriation... kind of like tequila. But at least he had a good time and enjoyed his party... that is until Dad kicked everyone out of the backyard by midnight so the neighbors wouldn't be disturbed!
Emme's skeeter bite...
Aiden and Emmerson are buds just like their mama's!
Uncle Steve loves his Emme-poo!

Annual Browne Family Weekend at the Lake
This weekend we ventured down to Lake of the Ozarks after I survived my first week at my new job! I don't mean survived in a bad way... it was a great week and I am really excited about all of the opportunities that this position has in store for me. I learned so much my first week, I was literally exhausted by the end of the week and needed to get away! This weekend was the tradition "Browne Family" summer weekend at the lake.... some of Big Bryan's cousins were down... and by some I mean like 10 of them. It is always fun, they are loud and there is never a dull moment. Saturday I woke up early and managed to run 7 miles before the hustle and bustle of the day started. Then Emme, my Mom (who was down at the lake with my Dad at their boat), and I hit the outlet mall, where I successfully vamped up my new work wardrobe with some amazing deals. It starting getting pretty hot and princess Emme wasn't having that, so we headed back to the house to swim and get some dock-time... AKA, some time in the sun, because God only know we need it. Emmerson has more color than I do! We took is easy all day with good company, good food and plenty of entertainment. Sunday was a rough morning though because for some reason, Emme decided not to sleep last night. I know I shouldn't complain because many babies aren't good sleepers, but when it's been 6 months and you have never suffered through a night awake with your baby, you just aren't used to it and don't expect it. So I slept in the car on the way home :) Now we are just chillin as a fam and enjoying our Sunday night before the crazy week begins!
