The OB appointment was uneventful again today. My cervix has not made any progress so I had to schedule ANOTHER appointment for next Thursday. I go to the doctor's office so much I think I could drive there blindfolded! The plan for next Thursday (as long as I don't deliver before then) is to have an ultrasound to measure the amount of amniotic in my uterus and Emmerson's size. I will also be attached to some type of fetal monitor that measures her movements and heart rate. They want to make sure she has plenty of fluid in the uterus to move around in and they want to make sure she is still having good movements, since there is an increased risk of still birth the longer babies are overdue. The test results will determine how long my Dr. feels I can go overdue without planning an induction. Her and I are on the same page with inductions in that it is not at all what we prefer (I'm rather against Pitocin) so we will try everything to make labor happen naturally!
Other than that it's same ol, same ol. I am slightly getting pressured from my brother in law to have this baby by tomorrow night at 11:59 pm! ha ha. My in laws have a baby pool going and he is super competitive and only has like one day left on the calendar after tomorrow... he was nice enough to be on my side and have wonderful wishes for Emme to arrive early. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore though!
